Taryn McEntire is an equestrian from Oceanside, CA.  She began her journey with her first horse Rey who taught her much of what she still brings to the table in her equestrian career.  Shortly after she got Rey the horse was diagnosed with kissing spine.  Instead of giving up on a horse with kissing spine, as many do Taryn worked for a year and a half doing strengthening, stretching, and conditioning exercises to rehabilitate her horse.  Rey became sound but Taryn felt that her horse did not enjoy doing the work she wanted it to do. Rey was moved to her Aunt Gen's and now lives happily in a beautiful pasture in Park City, Utah. Taryn then started training with Shayne and Skylar Wireman at Chestnut Hills Equestrian Center in Bonsall, CA.  Taryn became their working student in addition to showing at the A level shows in Hunters, Equitation, and Jumper classes.  Taryn has a deep respect and understanding of horses. This has helped her immensely since she does not own a horse and rides a variety of Shayne and Skylar's horses or catch rides at her competitions.  Riding such a wide variety of horses has forged her riding skills and her ability to adapt to the different horses she encounters. Most importantly Taryn has fun and always has a huge smile on her face. This carries over to the horses she rides who always try their hardest for her.
